This painting was commissioned to celebrate the Sussex Yacht Club Ladies Sailing Team campaign at Cowes Week 2022 onboard “Poppy” – the Sonar class boat shown centrally with the pink spinnaker. The painting has some elements of my geometric style, such as the colour gradient stripe sky and sharp edged triangular mainsails, but is softened by the addition of the curved spinnakers and circles in the foreground representing the sparkly sea.
