Lockdown Sunset painted May 2020. Acrylic on Canvas 36in x 24in.

The inspiration for the painting was this photo that I took while walking along Shoreham Beach. This was during the first UK lockdown in April 2020 when I was out for my permitted daily exercise. At low tide the sandy part of the beach is revealed (the rest is shingle) and the wet sand reflects the orange sunset. I saw a few zigzags in the clouds and thought that could be a good basis for a painting.

The painting was used as a background in our LEGO airport model for a while.

The painting in its forever home.
